Chapter 9: To Escape
Day ???: Demons versus demons
The young succubus walked towards the group of humans and their Zabel. She just simply said.
“But all I want is that demon you’re harboring. After all, you don’t want to get punished too, don’t you guys?”
“Shut up! We came here to save Joshua and we won’t leave without him!” Draco raised the Faust against her.
“My my… Such a pretty face you have there.” The Succubus hovered towards Draco. “Yes… And you seem very strong.”

Draco blushed as Mariah looked him closely in the eye.

“It’s too late….. he has… fallen into her.. spell.” Joshua growled.
“What do you mean?!” asked Tira.
“When a male looks a succubus in the eye, they are completely in love with her. She will…. Then poison him…. Or give him nightmares…” Joshua said.
“Then how do we save him?” Atom asked.
“The easiest way…. Is for another.. female… to kiss him… The hardest… way is to… let him.. wake up from… a nightmare…”

“Mm yes… You have big muscles…”
“Of course I do…” said a love dazed Draco.

“Now, all we have to do is get Mia, Tira or I to kiss Draco.” Sara said.
“I refuse to do it.” Mia turned away. “Why don’t you do it, Sara?”
“Um….” She paused. “Tira! You do it!”
“Erm… WHAT?!?” Tira blushed.
“Kiss Draco!” Mia and Sara angrily yelled.

Tira kissed Draco on the cheek and the lad woke up from the spell.

“Hmph… I am not doing that again.” Tira’s face was redder than a tomato.
“Eh? What happened?” Draco asked.
“My, what an odd couple we have here. I didn’t have to stop you, Tira but, I could lend Joshua a hand.”
“What is it that you want?!” roared Joshua.
“I can save you from your punishment. But in the surface world, never mention this story again. Understood?”
“We understand.” Said the group.
“And Joshua?”
“…. Whatever.” He growled.
“Good. Now—“
“OVER THERE!” shouted a demon soldier.

There was a squad of demons waiting on the other side. They all caught up with the group and managed to fight them. Draco took them down one by one but was soon being worn out. Mariah helped as well, she turned her tail into a vicious, chain-like sword and began slashing away like crazy.

“Summon the portal and let the humans leave.” Mariah yelled.
“Right. Then we take care of business!” Replied Joshua.

Joshua drew a circle with his claws and a bright portal was summoned.

“We?” Sara thought. “Joshua! Aren’t you coming along?”
“I can’t. I must stay here and help my friend. She saved me and I just can’t let her turn into a lowly hellspawn.”
“No! Don’t!” Sara yelled.
“Do it, Sara. Do it for me.” Joshua looked at her with his four red eyes.
“Sara! C’mon!” Eagle yelled.
“But Joshua!”
“Forget Joshua! He knows what he’s doing!”
“Then I’m going after him.” Sara ran towards the Zabel.
Joshua just grabbed Sara and threw her into the portal.

“GO NOW!!”
“JOSHUAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!”

Day 18: Metamorphosis

“Wow… We’ve stayed there for only a few minutes and several days passed already.” Said Draco. “I don’t believe it. Hey guys, wake up.”
“Wha?” Atom groaned as he got up from the floor. “Man, I feel weird.”
“Me too.” Tira stretched. “We all felt a bit of depression in there. I guess the portal drains more energy if you’re more depressed.”
“Then Sara’s probably unconscious by now.” Eagle joined in. “That was one hairy adventure.”
“Sara is unconscious. Take a look at her. She’s fast asleep.” Mia pointed.
“It’s best if we took her home.” Draco suggested. “C’mon.”

At Sara’s house…

“Where has she gone off to?” asked Sara’s dad.
“Well, Mr. Reinhärt, we um… had a sleepover somewhere and…. She stayed up too late. She needs rest.” Tira ‘explained’.
“A sleepover? Without my consent? I have to talk to her when she wakes up.”
In the evening, Sara rose from her bed and she felt well rested. When she looked at the desk, she saw that the black rose that Joshua gave her was gone. She then remembered his words.

“Do it, Sara. Do it for me.”

Then she heard another voice in her head.

“Why are you frowning, Sara?”

When she took a glance at the mirror of her dresser, she saw Joshua’s reflection. But when she turned around to see where he was, he wasn’t there. She then sat down on her bed and said.
“You’re… back?”
“As long as you’re alive, I’ll be with you.”
“Joshua…. That’s sweet.”
“It isn’t my nature to be sweet, Sara. Why have I visited you, you ask?”
“Why?”
“Face the mirror.”
“Okay.”

Sara stood up and faced the mirror. Joshua wasn’t on the mirror but she felt an arm embrace her. Joshua then softly whispered in her ears…

“Join me and live forever… or refuse and die…”

Sara thought twice. She then said.

“I will…. Join you.”

Joshua then punched his claw into Sara’s chest and removed her heart. Right before her eyes, her heart turned a shadowy black. When Joshua put it back, Sara felt unconscious and Joshua said.

“Good night, my demon princess…”

Day 19: Help me
The next morning, in school…

“Hey! I heard Draco has been missing for a week!” said Yoshimitsu.
“Meh, I knew that and it’s a few days, dumb ass. I wonder what happened to him.” Yun Seong scratched his head.
“He’s back, if you guys didn’t notice.” Tira smiled.
“HE IS?!” the two’s eyes opened wide.
“Good morning, Tira.” Draco greeted her with a grin.
“Oh! Good morning, Draco! How are you today?”
“I’m fine. Have you seen Sara?”
“Why?”
“I wanna ask her what happened to her last night. I hope she was fine.”
“Alright. Let’s look for her.”

Sara was at her locker and her face looked gloomy. When she closed the locker, Draco greeted her.

“Hi Sara.”
“Hey, Draco…”
“Were you okay, last night? Did your rest well?”
“WHAT IS IT TO YOU?!” Sara yelled and her eyes glowed.
Draco had a scared expression on his face. Sara then was frightened on what she just did and apologized.
“I’m sorry, Draco… I have to go.” She ran off.
“Wow… Looks like someone got cranky.” Tira told Draco.
“I guess.”

At recess time, Astaroth was bullying people, again. Some lunch was stolen and a bit of lunch money too. When Astaroth approached Sara’s table, he reached for her drink but she got it first.

“Hey! Hands off!” yelled Astaroth.
“Why don’t YOU take your hands off?” growled Sara.
“Let go or else—“
“OR ELSE WHAT?!?!” Sara yelled.

When Sara stood up, her hair started flowing and her eyes were glowing a very bright purple.

“I’ll get my real axe and get it from you by force.”
“HA HA HA HA!!! Say that again you big dumb jerk!”
“What did you just—“
“BIG DUMB JERK!”

Sara kicked Astaroth and he was sent flying across the room. When everyone looked at her, she regretted what she has done and immediately ran off.

“What is happening to me?”
“It’s what you wanted, right?”
“No, Joshua… It’s not what I wanted….. I didn’t want to hurt people.”
“I cannot reverse what I have done, Sara. You’re a demon now.”
“You… can’t?”
“No.”
“Then why did you do this to me?”
“I regretted doing this. It was best if you were human… It was my mistake I have turned you into something you didn’t want. I’m sorry…”
“JOSHUA!!! I’LL KILL YOU!!!” Sara angrily screamed.

Her voice echoed across the halls, shattering all the glass windows and caused all the lockers to burst open.

“I swear… When I find you, I’ll use this against you….”
