CH6
Day ???: Judgment

Somewhere in the depths of hell, several kinds of demon have gathered in a certain kind of court. They were all segregated with their designated kinds and one mighty demon stood in the middle asking for order. He was known as Lord Malignus.

“SILENCE!” He yelled as the demons calmed down. “Our escapee, Joshua of the Zabel has not been found in the human world yet but, we have captured his father. I assume Jude of the Zabel can tell us what happened to his son…”

Two imps pushed a cart to the center of the court and on top of the cart was a demon of Joshua’s kind except, he had a mane and a long beard from his chin. He looked fiercer and more powerful but the magical chains held him down. He was Jude, Joshua’s father and in the demon world, only the kind of Joshua’s demon called Zabel could speak.

“I cannot tell you of my son, Malignus.”
“Jude, your fellow Zabel army will fall without your mighty son. He has been hailed the most powerful. I fear he is more powerful than me.”
“He is free. I could not let him come back.”
“I can.”
”WHAT?!” roared Jude.
“You’ll see. Some of the other kinds of demon would want him back here anyway… to torture him and have him destroyed.”
“No!”
“YES! He has dwelled in the human world for too long and I will be sending the best warriors from each kind to capture him. When I return you to the human world, do not tell him of this event. If you do, you are subject to torment as well. RELEASE HIM!”

Day 6: The Truth

Draco heard his alarm clock ringing. He turned it off, took off the blankets and felt a surge of pain in his right arm. He looked at it and it was bandaged up.

“Ugh… What the hell happened? Did that Joshua kid pay me a visit? What the hell. It’s Saturday… I guess I could take the day off.”

He took a bowl of cereal and proceeded to the computer to check his e-mail. He then saw a letter with the subject “Draco Faust Williams…”. He opened it and said:

Hello, Draco! It’s me, Tira. I’ll have to tell you, the following week, I won’t be going to school. Why? I can’t tell you. It’s very private. Anyway, I wish you good luck in your future fights and I heard you got pierced in your right arm. Are you okay? ^.^ In case you have a fight scheduled with Joshua, I must warn you not to anger him. It almost looked like he destroyed Golden Eagle the other day. >.< Be careful, get well soon and take care!

He turned off the computer and headed straight to the park.

Draco then found it very chilly so he put on a brown sweater and a red scarf. When he reached the pond, he saw Joshua feeding the ducks with some bread.

“Hey, demon boy.”
“It’s you… Whaddya want?”
“What’s it like being a demon?”
“Fuck off, human. I hate it when you mortals ask me this.”
“Seriously, what troubles you so much? Sara tried to help you but you just won’t tell her. Why don’t you tell me?”
Joshua sighed and began to tell a story.

Thousands of years ago, we struggled over a battle for superiority… My race, the Zabel, were reigning supreme all thanks to me; crowned the mighty warrior of the Zabel. We Zabel could turn into a thick puddle of black liquid. We also are known for our impenetrable bodies. Other demons like the Lamia, Vesuvius, Garum, Succubus, Incubus and Imps are of no match against us. We almost dominated hell itself. But one day, I had to leave. Too much torment and suffering was fun but I had to leave for a while. I stayed here in this world as a child and grew up with humans, especially my mother. My father, despite being a demon, was deeply loved by my mother. We were a closely knit family unfortunately; my mother was blamed to be a witch so she was burned… I wanted revenge against humans but living with them made me a bit human myself. I couldn’t do it. Now, I have heard that the other Zabel have labeled me as a traitor and they all want me destroyed and turned into a soulless being. Something that will just wander the depths of hell for all eternity. Somehow, I just know that the demons are looking for me as we speak…

“I see. So you’re not exactly a teenager huh?”
“I’m older than I look. I am thousands and thousands of years old.”
“Wow… But how were you able to adapt with technology?”
“Demons watch humans in what they do and their intention is to tempt them and lead them away from God. My intentions are different.”
“And you intend to….?”
“Save you… all of you.”
“From what?”
“The apocalypse. It’s near.”
“You know, Joshua…. I’m not human either.”
“Then what are you?”
“I’m half a dragon… I can hardly die.”
“Most impressive.” smiled Joshua.
“I’ve got another question to ask you, Joshua.”
“Go on.”
“Do you…. like Sara?”
“……. No.”
“Seriously?”
“….”
“Come on, let it out.”
“Screw this. I’m going home.” said Joshua as he walked away.

Draco tried to follow Joshua but Joshua disappeared into a large murder of ravens. They all flew in one direction and Draco never caught up with him. Draco then found another Soul Edge fragment on the ground except, it was blue and not red. He decided to keep it and instead of looking for Soul Edge fragments, he looked for the blue ones. He remembered Tira talking about a second sword called Soul Calibur and he wondered what happens if all these fragments come together?
